Victims affected by the collapse of the “Estación Buenos Aires” building complex in the Parque Patricios neighborhood held an “embrace” this Saturday and demanded answers from Constructora Sudamericana S.A. (COSUD). Anahí, one of the victims, spoke with Noticias Argentina Agency and stated that the gathering began at 12 at the corner of Astor Piazzolla and Montesquieu, near the Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium of Huracán. “It was very emotional. People from the neighborhood also joined,” affirmed the victim, who, like other residents, has not been able to return to her home. In this regard, she specified that the main demands were to find those responsible, receive responses from COSUD—the company in charge of the project—and “the need to return to our lives in our homes.” “The idea is to gather every Saturday until we can return to the apartments,” Anahí stated. Currently, the affected families remain evacuated in various hotels in downtown Buenos Aires, where they are temporarily housed while it is decided if they can return to their homes.
